What’s the Score? (“WTS”, “we”, “us”) is operated by BryanWayne Inc. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, email bryanwayneinc@gmail.com and we will answer.
When you create an account we store your email address, display name, and a hashed password. If you sign in with Apple or Google we store the identifier those services return (a one-way token) and the email address they share with us.
Each barcode you scan is stored against your account so your history works across devices. We store an anonymous device identifier to route push notifications and to prevent abuse of our free tier.
Allergens, dietary preferences, and other profile details you enter on the Account screen are stored with your account and used only to tailor scan results and warnings to you.
If you subscribe, payment is processed by Apple (In-App Purchase) or Stripe. We never see or store your card number — we only receive a subscription status, a customer ID, and the amount.
Our API logs each call with a timestamp, the barcode scanned, the cache status, and response time. We retain these logs for 90 days for abuse prevention and performance tuning.
WTS participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and additional affiliate programs (Organic Wine Exchange, Spirit Hub, ReserveBar, and others). When you tap a “Buy” link we append an affiliate tag. If you purchase, the retailer pays us a commission — you pay the same price whether you use our link or not. We do not receive your purchase details from the retailer beyond aggregated commission totals.
WTS is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will delete it.
You can export or delete your account at any time from the Account screen. You can also email bryanwayneinc@gmail.com and we will action a request within 30 days. Residents of California (CCPA) and the EU/UK (GDPR) have the same rights and can exercise them the same way.
We use TLS on every connection, hash passwords with industry standards, and restrict database access to our deploy team. No system is perfect — if you notice something, please report it to bryanwayneinc@gmail.com.
We will update this page when anything material changes and bump the effective date above. If the change affects your rights we will also notify you in the app.
